What this tool does

A DOCX file is a package of XML and other files. This tool changes selected document properties and rebuilds the ZIP packaging. Archive comments, extra fields and entry timestamps are not retained; file size can increase. Document text, styles, relationships, embedded media and customXml are retained byte for byte in their package entries. Signed packages, invalid XML and excessive archive expansion are rejected.

Are comments, tracked changes or embedded images cleaned?

No. They remain untouched. Property cleanup does not remove personal information contained in document text, comments, revisions or embedded images.
