What this tool does

Content Credentials are signed provenance records. The official C2PA SDK reads the embedded manifest locally. Remote manifests and online certificate status requests are disabled. No trust list is configured in this release, so signer trust is reported as not checked. A valid signature does not independently prove every assertion.

Try a real example

Use “Try an example” to inspect a bundled file through the same local engine. It is visibly marked as an example and is never a simulated result.

Why is a valid credential not automatically an AI verdict?

Ordinary cameras and editors also create credentials. An AI label requires an explicit AI-generation or AI-editing claim in the active credential. The bundled example carries a real signature made with a public development test certificate. It is an example of a signed record, not a trusted identity or an AI verdict.
